Indie-soul artist Raegan Sealy has released her latest single, “Killing Song,” a ballad about coming to terms with the cracks in a relationship. Tribe 615 flagship recording artist Chris Clark has announced plans to introduce his sophomore single titled “Glass Half Empty.”* Penned by the twenty-eight-year-old songwriter alongside Tommy Collier (who is widely recognized for his significant role in kick-starting Katy Perry’s career), and produced by Kolt Barber, the original tune will be available via all digital retail and streaming platforms on Friday, March 3, 2022. Vintage production combined with an infusion of country and R&B vibes creates a moody sway to enliven the melancholy retrospect of a love affair on the rocks. Wax and wane vocals, supported by moody guitar highlights, capture the emotional reverence.
“The storyline recalls a romance that once poured over with excitement and hope for the future, and now, it just ‘exists’,” said Chris Clark. “The relationship is not 100% true; she’s no longer in it…and in hindsight, he’d do things differently. Chris Clark is characterized by his endearing smile, genuine heart and captivating enthusiasm for life and music…and he comes by it naturally.

Nashville-based producer, songwriter and performer Ross Flora releases the focus track and lyric video for “Me and Abilene” off of his debut EP Shoulders of Giants. Symbolizing how one is shaped consciously and subconsciously by those we surround ourselves with, the single and first-ever lyric video tells the story of a person at a crossroads through an ever-changing life path.

The track is a look into the experiences of life and gaining transparency throughout the journey. Ross says, “‘Me and Abilene’ is about trying to get away from or escape some person or place — only to realize as you get further from it and gain clarity, that those reasons pale in comparison to the regret of leaving and the value that person or place brought to their life.” Not only does the song and lyric video capture the sense of escape and search, but rather it symbolizes life on the road and the ups and downs that go along with it.”

Ross adds, “I wanted to write a song that was about more than just missing a person or place. I wanted the person in the song to realize and own up to what decisions they made and come to a crossroads type of moment.” Living with those resolutions and the absence of not traveling to the promised lands would only lead to regret. Ross adds, “I’ve been very lucky to be able to travel the nation playing music — spending a few days in a town and moving on to the next. Along the way there have been places I wished I didn’t have to leave, but staying would mean betraying the life I’ve been blessed with and worked for. I created the character in ‘Me and Abilene’ to partly convey that feeling.” 

Lyrically illustrating the natural part of life, and even the process of a transition may seem right but for the wrong circumstances. ‘Now there’s a thousand miles between, Me and Abilene, And I’m wondering if she’s thinking bout me. The reasons grow harder to see, Just why I had to leave. All the distance, That was never meant to be. Between me and Abilene.’ The formidable artist with distinctive vocals and deep southern rock guitar riffs, is one of the most in-demand outlaw country acts in Nashville. “Me and Abilene” stands apart for its perfect balance of nostalgia and vulnerability for the artist. 

Ross’ musical inclinations were shaped by a diverse range of musical eras and sounds through his family upbringing. The singer vocally showcases his rural roots in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and authentically allows himself to see further in the direction that he is going. “To me, I wanted the setting to distinctly take place somewhere that wasn’t home. While I love and miss my home in Virginia, I wanted this song to symbolize a deliberate change in the character’s nature and habits, and embody the curveballs life throws at us that end up changing our path,” says Ross.

About Ross Flora

Ross Flora is a seasoned, multifaceted singer and musician out of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Growing up just south of Roanoke, he was surrounded by strong influences in both R&B and Bluegrass. When asked what his first musical memories were, he said, “My dad would stand me up on the back of a church pew and teach me harmony parts with the congregation.” When Ross was 12, his dad came home to find him playing along to a Van Halen CD and went to sign him up for guitar lessons that day. By his teenage years, Ross began performing at various venues and festivals throughout the South Atlantic. At the age of 19, he started playing guitar and singing with “The Kings” in Roanoke, Virginia. In 2012, Ross moved from the family farm to pursue a career in Nashville, Tennessee. Singer-songwriter Kimberly Dawn releases her highly anticipated new single, “Deere John.” The single is a reflection about the countryside that made her into the person she is today. ‘Saying goodbye to the only house I ever knew’… The backroads-made singer conveys the message of growing up on her family farm in Canada. Though it was never easy, Kimberly will always call it the place she called home as it gave her something to believe in and symbolizes that wherever you end up in life, your country upbringing will always define you.

Kimberly boldly took control of her musical passions after having her four children when she began learning the guitar and piano. Influenced and motivated to uplift others, Kimberly feels particularly empowered to share her experiences balancing life as a mother, wife, and musician.

“When my parents decided to sell our farm that my family grew up on and the place I called home as a child, I felt inspired to write about how I was raised and what it meant to me,” says Kimberly. Singer-songwriter Cash Crawford releases her new single, “Save Myself.” As a female musician, Cash is growing, healing, evolving, and learning all through her own shadow. “How could you love me, when I didn’t love me” a cutting-edge hook line that explains Cash saving herself this time. Listeners get an inside look of the singer’s light and dark sides, but most refreshingly her impeccable honesty.

Don Miggs, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with Mick Fleetwood and Tower of Power, as well as fronting the band Whole Damn Mess and touring with artists such as ZZ Top and Cheap Trick, produced the single. “Save Myself” is my version of acknowledging that, at a time, I looked to others for my happiness,” says Cash.

About Cash Crawford

For over 20 years, Cash Crawford has been involved in the music industry as a noteworthy vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer. Growing up in a rural area of Pritchard, Canada, Cash and her sister Sadie would sing every chance they got, even if it was walking down their driveway to the bus, or going to church on Sunday. In 2008, Cash participated in Canadian Idol, making it to the third round just before being televised. After Canadian Idol, Cash went on to travel across Canada performing as one half of the duo ‘Beyond the Mountain’ with Theo Tams. This project won her the Toronto Independent Music Awards for Singer/Songwriter of the Year in 2012. During this time, Cash also worked as a voice actor and wrote solo music. Indie-pop artist Kate Cosentino is dishing out another worthwhile single with “Emergency Contact,” out March 4. Following the release of January’s “Prettiest Girl In The Room,” which earned her a feature in Rolling Stone India, Cosentino isn’t loosening her grip on her fiery ambition to change the industry as we know it. This latest track, the first single off her upcoming EP Note to Self, is her kicky way of telling her significant other just how deeply she cares for him without actually saying the word “love.” It’s fun, freeing, and smile-inducing — mimicking the moment when you feel yourself falling head over heels for the first time. Listeners can hear resemblances to Lawrence the band, Sammy Rae & the Friends, and Vulfpeck.

In a world full of people who will do anything to avoid conflict or anxious situations, Cosentino takes the time in this track to reveal her solidarity.
