Lindsey Releases Heartfelt, Electro-Alt Debut, “Save Me”

A story of conflict, inner strife, and ultimate redemption, alternative rock artist Lindsey calls out “Save Me” in her debut single. The first release from her upcoming project Out of the Ashes, “Save Me” acts as a diary entry, detailing turmoil from rock-bottom, debilitating depression, spiritual warfare.

“‘Save Me’ was my cry for help when I felt all help was gone,” says Lindsey of the electro-pop-punk track. “A spark ignited the fire inside of me to stand up and fight back. Telling the darkness that once held me in chains, that I won’t believe the lies any longer.”

Like a candle in the darkness, Lindsey acts as a spokesperson for many with mental health struggles. Resilience is portrayed in “Save Me” as an explosive anthem, with sweeping strings, hard rock candy riffs and moody passages.

“‘Save Me’ shines a light in the darkness for others to know they aren’t alone, and that they can overcome whatever they are struggling with,” continues the Nashville-based artist. “All it takes is a spark. It’s an everyday battle, but you just can’t give up.” 

The debut track from Lindsey, “Save Me” is available now on all streaming platforms, along with a full music video. “Lindsey’s story is inspirational and raw, and we are proud to work with her,” exclaims Burning Ground Entertainment owner, Dawn DeJongh. Mark Mackay Releases Christmas EP, including Original “Christmas Time is in the Air”

Mark Mackay kicks off the holiday season with his brand new Christmas EP, Mark Mackay: Christmas. Bringing the Christmas cheer, with some classic rock and roll infused with a country flair, the 3 tracks on the EP consists of one original, written by Mackay and multi-hit songwriter Jeffrey Steele, as well as two Christmas classics.

“I always wanted to put out an original Christmas song but I felt it had to be fun and uptempo,” shares the vagabond.  “Finally got the right song! There are so many beautiful songs out for this time of year and this compliments the mood!”

The Christmas EP accompanies his Summer Slowdown Tour with Christmas-specific dates this December in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Attendees with undoubtedly see why he was named one of Music Connection Magazine’s Top 100 National Live Acts, with his energetic magnetism and “blistering guitar solos” (Hollywood Life).

County Wide Pays Tribute to “Good Advice” in New Single

County Wide insists you can never have too much “Good Advice” in their new down-to-earth single, available everywhere now. Capturing tumultuous years of the continual process of growing up, County Wide encourages trying, failing and figuring out who you are. Celebrating release day, the southern-rock band performed an acoustic version of “Good Advice” on Good Day Austin, which can be viewed now on the Fox 7 Austin website.

“Sometimes I think we all wish we could go back in time and pay attention to all the ‘Good Advice’ our families had to offer,” says keys and guitarist, Evan Crawford. “As you get older, you realize just how important that really was.”

The gripping ballad finds the listener lyrically “where all the things that I’ve done wrong meet the things that I’ve done right.” Discovering a way to be reassuring and judicious, the lyrics penned by the five-man band touches on life choices and real hard decisions. “This song is about going down the wrong path or the right path,” explains County Wide drummer Travis Clem. “You’re going to have ‘Good Advice’ along the way, and it is your decision to choose which path you follow.”

Payton Howie Unveils “Jail and Jesus” Music Video

Country renegade Payton Howie illustrates the contradictory sides of “Jail and Jesus” in her brand new music video. “Jail and Jesus” is a movie-like story showcasing the true depths of the song and viewers follow stories of sinners and saints.

“‘Jail and Jesus’ is about that struggle of walking the line with an angel on your shoulder and the devil on your back,” states the Texas-native. “It’s by far one of the most personal songs I’ve ever released and definitely one the tracks I’m most proud of.”

“Jail and Jesus” is a brutally honest lyrical scrapbook, and now, stories are being brought to life in the accompanying music video, shot by Neon Leaf Media in Nashville. The video gracefully divulges rights and wrongs, and the emotions in between, while dropping traces of symbolism relating to Payton’s own family history.
